Wow. First of all, a friend and have listened to EVERY 92 show in order and taken notes for our ongoing 90's dead project that we are working on. We've done this with 95, 94, and 93 as well. I've learned a lot. I've learned that there is so much amazing playing in every year, but when Jerry's health was off, it affected the whole band. Well, 92 is a bit of a rough year, and we only found a couple shows in the main part of the year that earned 5 stars .... one was Charlotte and I can't remember the other one off the top of my head. But when you get to December, this is after Jerry had his health issue that caused them to cancel the rest of summer plus fall tour, LOOK OUT. All of these December shows are amazing and the X factor is all over these shows!!!! This one had it too. Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in the amazingness of December 92 Dead. It's so good that I actually don't consider it 92, it deserves to be lumped in with 93 cuz we all know how great spring 93 deals is. But maybe there's something even more special about this Dec run because the energy is just a little more.
Vince is also a star player here, I hate the stupid lazy bad rap he gets from so called Deadheads that haven't done their homework. He sounds amazing in these shows. No cheesy Casio organ or out of place playing. Top notch stuff all over.
